With acrylic awards you can now find or custom order your awards
in pretty much any shape or size you'd like. Trophies and awards all looked the same for a very long time. One plaque was virtually indistinguishable from another: an engraved metal plate stuck to a wood backing. That all changed with the introduction of acrylic resins in the production of trophies. You can now get a whole new look, with a price tag that is only slightly higher. Advantages of Acrylic Trophies The materials most commonly used to manufacture trophies in the past (wood, metal, and glass) limited the design possibilities. While creating specialized shapes was possible using these materials, the additional cost usually made it not feasible. This has all been changed with the introduction of acrylic polymers and computer aided design. These new transparent acrylic trophies can be made in almost any shape or size imaginable. While they are naturally clear, you can even make custom changes to the color or transparency to suit your particular desire. Another advantage of acrylic is that it is easy to engrave. Acrylic often resembles either crystal or glass once it has been crafted into a trophy. The light usually reflects well off the surface of the trophy, which usually has a substantial feel to it. While it may look like glass or crystal, the good news is that it will not break like glass or crystal as the material is extremely durable. All of these great attributes are probably the reason that acrylic has become so popular among businesses that use trophies for employee awards and incentives. |
